Food Connections
Food Connections is a pre-employment program that provides opportunities for parents who live in the community to develop employment-related skills and address employment barriers in a supportive work environment. Ordering food for your event or meeting from Food Connections provides work experience for these individuals and assists in essential skill development, which they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
At Acorn Family Place, we offer:
- Healthy snacks every morning and afternoon for kids in the Playroom
- Breakfast Club every Friday morning for parents
- Snacks for participants in many of our workshops
All prepared by the Food Connections staff
We also have a Winnipeg Harvest Food Bank pick-up for 20 families (call Joanne at 204-560-3146 to find out about eligibility)
