What we do…

Acorn Family Place is multi-service. We provide a broad range of programs and resources aimed at providing support, enhancing education, and fostering community.

We believe in working together to strengthen children and families on the challenging journey of living and growing.

We understand that all families need support and we are committed to establishing an environment where everyone can access what they need for themselves.

Mission

Acorn Family Place fosters the development of community by creating equitable opportunities for families to connect and reach their fullest potential.

We are open Monday to Friday 9 am-4 pm, except Wednesdays, 1 – 4 pm

New Summer Program Alert! 🍓🥦Around the Table is a nutrition exploration series for parents, caregivers and their children (ideal for 6 months-4 years old). We will come together to connect around the table, share food and discuss challenges and ideas for supporting our little ones with healthy eating. Offered every Tuesday between July 15 and August 19, from 1:30-3 PM, no sign up required (eligibility based on child's age).What you can expect:-Meeting other caregivers to discuss challenges and why they might be happening-Recipe brainstorms, demonstrations, and trying out food together-Popular children's food hacks and dupes (think puffs, pouches and beyond)-Garden visits and land based teachings with Elder Audrey Logan-Information and advice from a dietician-Training on choking hazards, infant first aid and cpr-and more!Any questions?
